Method
0 of 6 done- Cut the paneer into 2cm cubes. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and ginger.
- Heat the Olive Oil in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often, until it is soft and translucent.
- Add the garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, and turmeric to the pan. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until the spices are fragrant.
- Pour in the chopped tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the raw tomato taste has cooked out.
- Stir in the double cream and the frozen peas. Season with salt and pepper. Let the curry simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, until the peas are cooked through and the sauce has thickened to a creamy consistency.
- Gently fold in the cubed paneer and let it warm through in the sauce for 2 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh coriander, alongside rice or naan.
